GRADES 1-6
“My son was initially very nervous about the idea of attending a drama class, but Sharon's energy and child-like creativity brought him out of his shell, so that he looked forward every week to his drama class. In a world where kids are used to passive entertainment, ACTING OUT! Kids Theatre allows the kids to explore their own self-expression with improv games, understanding of theatre and the opportunity to develop their own plays”.

* (As of October 2017, PJ has gone through our program and is now my assistant! Very happy to have him on board).
"ACTING OUT! Kids Theatre was an awesome program for my kids. They thoroughly enjoyed it, getting a chance to really do some creative drama in a fun, dynamic and sociable environment where no one is left out.
Thanks Sharon for an outstanding job!"
~Lee Chiang and Gala Chan: Parents
“Both of my girls have been attending Sharon’s Acting Out classes for as many years as she has run them….as well they have attended her summer camps and holiday camps. We really have had no choice in the matter, once they got a taste of the fun, and yes the discipline and work involved, they insisted on going back time and time again.
It was obvious that not only were they having the time of their lives expressing themselves, they were learning incredible skills in terms of working as a group, memorization and confidence building and the creative process.
They love ACTING OUT! They have built incredible friendships and a sense of teamwork, community and mutual support. The classes are fun, stimulating and full of laughter.
We as a family recommend them absolutely!”

"Sharon's ACTING OUT! class was my favourite after school activity of the week. I can't wait to do it again!"
~Leah Salomma’s Daughter
It was an absolute pleasure to work with you at ACTING OUT! Kids Theatre during the camp. Your energy and enthusiasm is infectious and I learned an absolute ton from you!
~Jessica: Assistant during Camp
“My daughter Ruby - aged six - took Sharon's ACTING OUT! Kids Theatre classes, and she says "Sharon's classes are the BEST!!! The games are really fun. I wish the classes were longer!!!"
TEEN CLASSES:
From a parent's point of view, I love the way that Sharon respects the kids, and plays with them in such a way that their self-esteem is really boosted.... No-one is left out, and everyone has a good time. Highly recommend ACTING OUT! Kids Theatre.

“I love going to ACTING OUT! because it’s fun and you can learn games that you can teach to your family – and that’s always entertaining! Taking Acting Out! classes gave me the confidence to perform in a big production at my school – I knew I could do what I needed to do because Sharon had taught me how”.
~Lucy: Age 10
“As soon as one session of ACTING OUT! ends, my daughter is begging me to enroll her in the next one! She looks forward to the classes and really enjoys all the activities and exercises that Sharon leads the young actors through. I’ve noticed that my daughter seems more confident when she’s preparing her presentations and speeches for school too.
I would highly recommend Sharon’s Acting Out! classes for all aspiring young performers!”
~Andrea: Parent
“IT WAS AWSOME!!!!!!!!!! Everyone is friends, all the bad things in life melt away when you arrive, and you get to express your imagination”.
~Duncan : Age 13
“ACTING OUT! is tons of fun! At first maybe you’ll be shy and you probably won’t know everyone in the class, but trust me, you’ll be close buddies by the time you perform. If you feel like you’re not confident with your acting skills at first, don’t be afraid. Sharon starts out nice and easy with learning everyone’s names, then playing games that will make you skilled with improvising on stage. The games are really fun and will sometimes make you roll on the floor laughing. Then, we experiment with the costumes. We then divide into separate groups to put on little skits. At the end of the sessions we show them to the parents. It’s really fun. In the younger groups we invite the parents to come up and play the games with us. For the older groups, we organize a play all together to show to the parents. I don’t know what I’d be doing every Monday if it weren’t for Acting Out! Every other day of the week is spent in anticipation for when we get to see our friends again and work hard and have fun in the familiar room. I love Acting Out!!!!!”
~Clare: Age 12
ADULT IMPROV:
"Sharon's ACTING OUT! Theatre's Adult Improv class is about letting your imagination come to life, thinking on your feet (but not thinking too much) listening without judging and responding truthfully ~ and, having fun with whatever situations come your way. She offers concrete examples of how to achieve various improv acting techniques and has a wonderful way of making whatever choices you make be ok. I have seen how the kids in her classes enjoy the creative process and grow by leaps and bounds and it's nice to think we can still appreciate that moment to moment awareness. I always leave the class much lighter in spirit!
~Briar: Adult Improvisation Class
“Sharon and Ed offer us adults the chance to have many laughs and focus our imaginations in some concrete acting techniques. Why should the kids have all the fun!”
